It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, Oma, sister and aunt, Tina Aasman. Mom went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the age of 69 years, while surrounded by her loving family. Mom will be greatly
missed by her husband, Bill Aasman, and their daughters, Nancy (Aaron) Klein, and their daughters Hayley and Gabrielle; Kathy (Ian) Scrivener and their children, Katie, Faith and Jaxon; Monica (Leigh) Scrivener and their children, Dylan, Marissa and Brody and predeceased by infant daughters Jennifer and Judy. A brave,compassionate, spunky woman who adored her family and especially her “poobies” (loved ones). She most enjoyed the time spent with them. Tina was born on February 26, 1941, in Niebert, The Netherlands and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1952 settling in Redcliff. She enjoyed working with the public and excelled in sales and customer service. On June 30, 1972, Tina married her love, Bill Aasman who moved her to the farm in 1975 after living in town for a few years. On the farm, mom harvested many Dutch bean plants and lovingly raised their three girls. In 2001 mom was excited to move back into the city.
